Thank Salt by Chef Erin Brindley
My life is dedicated to creating culinary experiences that brim with creativity and surprise. Since 2003 I have braided the performing arts, (specifically theater and live music,) into five-course meals working with writers, composers, actors, designers, and musicians to create unforgettable dining experiences. Integrating storytelling with mind-bending cuisine in surreal environments, my company Café Nordo has delighted tens of thousands of Seattleites and garnered me a Seattle’s Best Chef award from The Seattle Weekly in 2018 along with consecutive Footlight Awards for Excellence in the Seattle Times.
My foundation is in theater, an artform that intersects the visual arts, writing, music, and performance. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. I was also raised in food service, with my mom as a professional caterer and baker. My singular focus for the last thirteen years is integrating the culinary and performing arts.
